Title: Ranger Pride takes over the Halls!
Adam Sandler: Baggy Shorts, Big Laughs- It’s Adam Sandler Day! Everyone dresses up in their biggest clothes. The halls were filled with oversized T-shirts, basketball shorts, sneakers, and backwards hats, which was all inspired by the iconic comedian, Adam Sandler! He’s a comedian that all the students at Park High have grown up watching, which was a big part of the students childhood. This day was the easiest to dress up for because all students had to do was dress in their biggest clothes.
Hawaiian Shirt Day: Park High Brings the Island Energy! Hawaiian shirt day brings all the colors and the most unique Shirts. This day didn’t just include shirts but also leis, flip flops, hats, and shorts. Sophomore Dawson Wood expressed how much she enjoyed this day and it was her favorite day to participate in. Teachers brought their most unique Hawaiian shirts in an extension of a year long tradition, where every Thursday the “D-Pod dads” wear their Hawaiian shirts. The student council decided to make this a part of spirit week so that every staff member and every student could participate. Everyone enjoyed all of the unique shirts that everyone wore that day. Park High was filled with joy and a whole lot of color.
Duo Day: Double the Trouble, Double the Style! Students dressed up like their favorite dynamic duos. In the dress up theme that gets picked almost every year. This day isn’t just for the students but also for teachers as well. B- Pod teachers Kyle Neibauer, Andrew Marsh, Nathaniel Mussetter and Terry Parker dressing up as the characters from “Tombstone.”The biggest duo this year was the “6 and 7” duo where one student wore a shirt with the number 6, while the other had a 7, together forming the “6/7”, which is an iconic Meme. Duo Day remains one of the most memorable spirit days.
Toga Day/ Color Wars: Togas, Cheers, and a Whole Lot of Color! It’s the day every senior has been waiting for: Toga Day. While all the seniors are in their unique togas the juniors, sophomores, and freshmen battle it out, dressing up in an assigned Park High color to boost school spirit. Juniors dressed up in purple, sophomores in yellow, and freshmen in black. Senior Annabelle Smith said toga day was her favorite and she has always been excited to wear a toga for her senior year. Toga day has been a senior rite of passage for years and the color wars was a great way of incorporating underclassmen.
