Senior Fiona Alverson spearheaded a new fundraiser for the Park High BPA club this February: chocolate-covered strawberries. Students and parents pre-ordered a box of three strawberries dipped in chocolate, which members of the club and their friends hand-made after school on Feb. 13. On Valentine’s Day, Alverson and fellow BPA member Aidan Higgins delivered the treats at lunch time.
BPA has been raising money all year to offset travel costs to their state and national competitions. Fourteen members of the chapter qualified to compete at state in Billings March 10-12, and nationals will be held in Chicago, Illinois later in the spring.
