After a busy Homecoming week that saw the marching band perform in the parade and during halftime at the football game Friday, students also participated in the first annual Bozeman Montana Marching Band Bash at Bozeman High School on Oct. 12.
The set list featured the song “Chameleon” by Herbie Hancock to open, “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin, and the Park High Fight Song to close, according to band director Garrett Stannard.
“The kids did an incredible job, memorizing our longest show to date and delivering a performance they can be proud of,” Stannard said, mentioning that the weather this fall has been perfect for practicing outside.
He mentioned that Belgrade, Bozeman, and Gallatin High had fantastic shows and were great to perform for (and with). At the end of the showcase and all the bands played several pep band tunes together on the field for what Stannard termed “a memorable experience.”
