Our school has many people with unique talents. One of those people is Noah Craig, a junior who has spent the last three years practicing and developing his photography skills. Craig has a passion for photography but also has the skills to match that passion. Sarah Mussetter, a Park High photography teacher, has described Craig as a very talented photographer with a classic eye and a natural talent for making people feel comfortable. Further, Craig has been described as a driven photographer who isn’t afraid of asking questions and putting himself out there.
Craig’s interest in photography started years ago with his iPhone 7. His grandma then gave him an old family camera. Although the camera wasn’t the best it fueled Craig’s passion for photography. He loved to take photos of animals, especially his dogs. Years later with new equipment, Craig is still taking photos of animals in the area. Craig often goes to Gardiner to take pictures of the wildlife and scenery.
In addition to taking photos of animals, Craigs likes to do portraits of people and scenery. Those are not the only types of photos Craig takes; he also takes headshots and portraits of animals.
Craig puts in the effort necessary to become a great photographer every day, and he even applied for a grant to get the equipment needed to become one. After applying for a grant and waiting for months he was able to get brand-new equipment to continue his passion. From the grant, Craig was able to get $6000 for a new camera and lens.
The Livingston native plans to continue photography after high school and even wants to become a local photographer for the surrounding community. Craig’s pricing for senior photos is around $200-$300. Photos for seniors have been discounted, because, in Craig’s own words, “No one wants to pay $500 for photos while they are in high school.”
