Park High Par is number one in the state. Livingston’s Park High School is fortunate to have Nate Parseghian, otherwise known as Park High Par, as their activities director. Parseghian was named Montana’s Activity Director of the Year. He has done much to help the Ranger community and continues to make them proud.
Parseghian has many accomplishments since becoming AD in 2019. This year Park High will be hosting the divisionals cross-country race in October. In preparation for this race, a separate cross-country race was held on August 25 to work out the official route. “We could not host on our typical route because there were too many participants, so we created a brand-new cross-country course on a private ranch,” commented Parseghian. This was an immense success for him, and for others involved.
Parseghian shows leadership, integrity, and perseverance by going out of his way. He has a terrific way of encouraging young athletes to have good experiences and grow in a supportive environment. Along with being a positive role model in the school district, he helps coaches and teachers with their programs.
Megan Burns, Lady Rangers Basketball Coach and PHS PE teacher, says, “Mr. Par creates the scheduling, and we get our practice equipment approved by him. He takes care of ordering all the athletic training supplies too. He just makes sure we are taken care of.” Park High activities depend on Parseghian to keep things running smoothly.
Parseghian says that “a commitment of dedicating a lot of time, effort, energy, and emotion into doing your job is just what you must do.” He dedicates so much time and effort to Park High students and athletes.
In the past Parseghian had participated in coaching sports such as track and golf. He has also had experience as a faculty advisor for a broadcasting club. Before becoming Park High Par, he was a school counselor for four years at Belgrade High School. Now he lives in Belgrade and commutes to Livingston for work.
