Park High senior Shane Gibson received a wrestling scholarship from Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota and will be attending the university in the fall.
Along with participating in the wrestling program, Gibson will be studying law enforcement and legal studies. Gibson is excited to have the possibility of becoming a national champion. “It feels awesome to be able to continue playing a sport I love while representing Livingston at a
National level,” Gibson said. The most challenging aspect, Gibson believes, will be getting used to college level training while being in a new environment. “I am excited for the opportunity to improve and push myself through new challenges,” Gibson said.
